Thomas Playing…

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Last night, no, the night before. Monday. On the evening I went to go get my mum who had spent an evening with Dave’s folks while we were at the gym. When we got back to his, we spotted a Thomas, he was having fun with his toy. His new toy. Ikea toy infact!

Watch him play and then simba attack misha!

P1i

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Well, i must say i like my phone. It does everything i need to - sync with my PC at work and home. It can post to my flickr account or blog, it can take OK photos and its blackberry enabled. I do like the iPhone, but its not worth the money. O2 are going to do a big launch on its release date, but I am not truely sure it will pick up as much as America did.

They are a blackberry nation, and make a fortune on many similar style and for like phones and services. Although a big market still here for businesses, how many business men can you imagine with an iPhone? Not my bosses. Infact, one of our MDs bought he P1i as he liked mine that much! Its a nice way of having a blackberry. The iPhone isn’t big enough to use as a good MP3 player. Its not flexible enough to use with PC and Macs at the same time, and certainely doesnt have a good enough camera.

I am very cautious of my P1i being touchscreen incase it gets scratched or damaged when i write/type or play with it. I don’t too like the idea of a fully touchscreen device. Besides, give it a year to get the bugs out, get a bigger HD and thiner case and I might think about it when my phone is due for an update…. reminds me - must cancel old contract this month with orange!

Escargot?

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

Had a busy day fridge frezzer shopping with mum and a lovely cuppa at a mates new house afterwards. However, had lunch with my friends from uni in Llyods Bar 1 in Middlesbrough this lunchtime. All was going well and I ordred a butternut squash roast dinner with extra mash!

20mins later, all our meals arrived and we started to tuck in. As I approcached the peas… i causiously looked at the pile of peas. Something was a foot. It was odd. Not quiet a pea, not quiet a mini mushroom - more lentil looking. As i pushed it to one side… it was a small snail. One was not amused. Cat had a quick look and agreed.

I quickly tottled to the bar and the waitress gasped. The manager promtly came to our table and apologised, she said it was because it was fresh veg and they didnt use pesticides in it. She offered a round of drinks on the house, and a replacment meal.

I have had no good meals in the last week, apart from the lovely lunch out with sarah and my mum in town at Coopers!! Simply, jacket potatoe and tuna is the answer.

Sushi

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

Well today I tried something I never have done before - make my own sushi.

I now know a few things:

1. its not easy

2. i should have looked at you tube for some tips and techniques

3. i make too much

4. its not easy

5. if you dont follow the instructions, it acutally looks like sushi, rather than mess with rice on the side

6. wasabi is very hot and hard to use

7. its not easy

I attempted to make calafornia sushi rolls too, and they ended up in the bin they were that bad!

The fish died. And no, we didnt use it in the Sushi.
